The Poker Room Radio Show was born by request. Players of all skill levels would come up to us, and ask questions about every aspect of the game - from “tells” to “determining the odds of making a specific draw.” Players also wanted to know where to find the best outside sources for playing tips. After some research, we realized that there was no place where players could find the immediate and detailed information they needed. A partnership with 1010XL- Jax Sports Radio was formed and, in March, 2008, The Poker Room Radio Show premiered.

1010XL was already the radio home of well-known broadcaster – and poker affectionado - Jeff Prosser, who relished the idea of hosting the weekly program. The Poker Room rounded out the team with Ray “The Dealer” and Alan “The Floorman”, each of whom brought a unique perspective on how to play and win America 's fastest growing game.

The program is a fast-moving, interactive hour focusing on tips, experiences and upcoming poker events mixed with live interviews of legends such as Tom McEvoy, Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Rousso. Listeners call in from across the country and the Poker Pals are never at a loss for an answer – or at least a strong opinion – on such issues as “strongest opening hands,” “bankroll management” or “raising from a late vs. early position.”
